The MathCounts Club
Six students are chosen to participate in the B. F. Butler School MATHCOUNTS which is part of our after-school enrichment program. MATHCOUNTS is also a national coaching and competition program designed to stimulate seventh-and eighth-grade students' interest and achievement.
Our goal is to increase interest and involvement in mathematics among our youngsters in order to assist in developing a technically literate population essential to U.S. global competitiveness and the quality of life.
Mr. Boran Reth is volunteering to coach our newly mathletes. We hope that the MATHCOUNTS competitions will give our students a chance to meet and challenge the others from various schools.
